Raynard Davis was baptized into Christ at the age of nine, by Bro. Abraham
Davis, his father, a sound Gospel preacher and evangelist for over fifty years. Having been raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord by his father and mother, Sis. Mae Davis, Ray, began his youth related ministry while in the tenth grade, in New Braunfels, TX, directing youth and adult singing groups. This experience helped foster his love for youth and soon after completing his college degree, he and his wife, Phyllis, began working with the youth at the Dellcrest Church of Christ. He directed the youth singing group for over seventeen years and served as Youth Minister for ten years.
In addition to these responsibilities, Ray also served as a deacon. Ray graduated from the University of Texas, at Austin with a BS in Communications and also holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Our Lady of the Lake University, in San Antonio, TX. In 1987, he was blessed to be drafted by the San Antonio Spurs and has played professionally overseas. Having received numerous honors in academics and athletics, Ray has conducted youth athletic and spiritual camps throughout his career. He currently works in the Marketing Department, as Beverage Category Manager, for Labatt Food Service.
Ray has been married to Phyllis Davis for twenty-eight years and they have
one daughter, Desiray.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Psalm 23
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
